AMK Microfinance Plc is a leading microfinance institution in Cambodia, established with the mission to provide financial services to underserved populations, particularly in rural areas. AMK was originally part of the micro-credit and savings program of the Irish NGO Concern Worldwide, which began in the early 1990s. In 2002, the program evolved into a separate entity under the name Angkor Microheranhvatho Kampuchea (AMK), later rebranded as AMK Microfinance Institution Plc to reflect its growth and alignment with Cambodia’s evolving microfinance regulations.
